Rustle
the Leaf is an online outreach that uses syndication-quality, weekly comic
strips and other creative tools to communicate essential environmental
themes and truths. Our goals are to encourage environmentalists, to facilitate
the sharing of environmental views in an engaging, nonconfrontational
manner, and to introduce and reinforce environmental education with people
ages 6 to 106. Here's a brief background on our sponsors:
STEVE
AND MELISSA ZEITLER
In 1987, Steve and Melissa Zeitler started a company based on providing
natural cleaning products as alternatives to harmful chemical cleaners.
Their first (and still most well-known) natural cleaning product is made
from the peels of oranges! Why is that interesting? Well, because, as
anyone who has ever squeezed an orange peel too close to their eyes will
tell you, orange peels have some pretty powerful stuff in them! Also,
it’s
interesting because their product is made from a “renewable”
resource (maybe you’ve
studied about this in school). A Renewable resource is something that
grows naturally, and that can be easily re-grown after harvesting. Over
the years, the company has grown and introduced several other natural
products for cleaning around the house. Steve and Melissa believe that
it’s
their responsibility to make products with natural ingredients, packaged
using recycled and easily recyclable materials. They also believe that
every company and every person can do their part to help preserve and
protect the Earth.
DAVE
PONCE
Rustle the Leaf creator and co-writer Dave Ponce has worked with Steve
and Melissa Zeitler as a marketing/creative services consultant since
1991. Through their 13-year history, the Zeitlers and Dave have established
both a successful business relationship and a lasting friendship. In January
of 2003, Dave approached the Zeitlers with the idea of Rustle the Leaf.
In the months that followed, Rustle the Leaf began to take shape, and
then became fully realized with the addition of artist/co-writer Dan Wright
to the 'Rustle' project.
Steve,
Melissa, Dave and Dan hope you’ll
enjoy visiting our site, and hope that--because of Rustle--you’ll
become more interested in helping to preserve, protect and heal this miraculous
world that has been placed in our care.
Thanks
for your interest in Rustle and in the Earth...
